Valentine’s Day Finds at Kierland Commons
February 6, 2012
As Valentine’s Day is fast approaching (t-minus eight days, in fact), we continue our blog series on romantic treats to be found inside Kierland Commons (and just footsteps from The Plaza Lofts). Today we recommend a few beauty buys for you and your loved one in honor of the Feb. 14 holiday.
For Him
If you are looking for a great gift for your guy, stop by V’s Barbershop, located next to RA Sushi. A visit to V’s is like a step back in time as contemporary gentlemen enjoy the classic old-time barbershop experience with consistent, quality service. While gift cards are available, we recommend the shop’s signature line of skin care products. V’s Shave Gel is made with organic herbs and offers a luxurious lather to leave his face feeling refreshed and moisturized. Meanwhile, V’s Italian Clay Mask is made from Montmorillinite Clay mined from Italy – purifying the skin after shaving and leaving your man’s face irresistibly smooth.
For Her
Visit Lather, located between Francesca’s and Chico’s, to get your gal a great gift to sooth her body and mind. The stylish store specializes in holistic beauty products made with natural ingredients. Our picks: the Sugar & Spice duo, which includes the pink grapefruit and ginger sugar scrub and illuminating body crème to keep skin soft and sweetly scented. Also check out Sweet Lips, a trio of deliciously flavored botanical lip balms that protect your lady’s kisser from the Arizona sun.
For Two
Head over to Quench Nail Bar, located just south of The Plaza Lofts at Kierland, to enjoy the boutique’s signature service – which is a plum pick for you, your significant other or an ensemble outing. The Quench Pedicure kicks off with a calming soak with soothing bath salts followed by nail shaping, cuticle treatment, callous reduction, skin softening exfoliation, paraffin dip, a warm towel wrap – the final touch being a foot and calf massage. Ladies may opt top off their service with a pretty polish, such as a coat of OPI’s “Pink-ing of You” or “Hopelessly In Love.”

What’s so great about the Kierland Commons condos?
August 21, 2011
Although the real estate market and economy have shifted significantly since The Plaza Lofts at Kierland Commons condo project launched, the appeal of this community hasn’t changed one bit. In fact, it’s probably fair to say that what seemed great to yesterday’s buyer appears even better to today’s.
Economists suggest now is likely the ideal time to buy because interest rates are poised to swell, as are home prices. Consequently, luxury buyers who have been on the sidelines have been putting their money back into real estate, not just because they are looking for a solid investment (a long-term investment, that is), but because they are looking for a primary or leisure property they can enjoy. Like the market and economy, the affluent buyers’ wish list has shifted – they demand the same quality but with less house, fewer headaches and more access to amenities and activities. In other words, buyers are increasingly trending away from sprawling suburban estates toward urban-inspired residences, e.g., The Plaza Lofts.
Our buyers and prospects are the proof in the pudding, and long have been – seeking us out for our one-of-a-kind lifestyle proposition. Our Kierland Commons condos uniquely offer the best of all worlds: privacy, custom-quality design and matchless desert views in efficient but spacious floor plans; estate- and country-club amenities within footsteps but without maintenance headaches; and the urban-inspired convenience of living an elevator ride from high-end shopping, dining, entertaining and more within the award-winning Kierland Commons.

Who Lives at The Plaza Lofts at Kierland Commons and Why
March 31, 2011
Spring has sprung – and The Plaza Lofts sales office has its doors wide open. In addition to sunshine and warm breezes, prospects and buyers are streaming through to check out this Scottsdale condo community nestled in Kierland Commons. Here, Bill Hammond, president of Signature Properties and the designated broker for The Plaza Lofts, shares some insights about who is drawn to this Scottsdale condo community and why.
What do you think draws Arizona homebuyers to The Plaza Lofts?
The big draw has always been and remains the lifestyle and convenience that Kierland Commons offers.
Describe The Plaza Lofts buyer profile.
The Plaza Lofts buyer falls into one of two categories: 1) someone who’s been there done that with a larger home – they’ve grown up and want to downsize, their kids are gone, and they want a simpler lifestyle; and 2) someone who’s looking for a second home. In either case, these are people who don’t want to have to get into their cars to go somewhere. They want to be socially involved and have access to entertainment, dining and shopping. Plus, they want a sense of community. Those who have bought here have it all – and Lofts residents often say how easy it is to live here, just footsteps from great restaurants and shops, as well as amenities of The Westin Kierland and the Kierland Golf Club.
Additionally, our buyers want to combine the urban lifestyle with a high level of finishes. Given they are often coming from larger custom homes, they are accustomed to a certain standard and don’t want to settle for less just because they’re opting to live in a more efficient dwelling. At The Plaza Lofts there is no settling – this secure community features top-to-bottom luxury, from the appliances, fixtures and finishes to the well-appointed hallways and common areas that also offer pride of ownership.
Finally, we’re a commercial-grade building. That’s important to people. They want access to hustle and bustle, but they also want privacy. People are amazed at how quiet the environment is. You go to the pool on any given day, it’s really peaceful even though you’re right in the middle of the busiest lifestyle center in Arizona.
What advice do you have for people interested in living at The Plaza Lofts?
This is a fantastic place to live, and there’s nowhere else like it in the Valley. A limited number of homes remain available at The Plaza Lofts – and we only have one penthouse left. Costs and rates are the lowest they been in 10 or 15 years respectively, which means pricing increases are inevitable eventually no matter where you’re looking to buy. Therefore, given the limited availability here and the market conditions, there is some sense of urgency for those who are serious about living at The Plaza Lofts and desire a specific floor plan or view.
To find out more about what lofts remain available, call Bill at 480-355-0207 or send an e-mail to The Plaza Lofts sales team.
